Post by: paul v6 on 11 January 2011, 11:03:42
i have been offered a omega 2.5 elite on swapz for my vec trouble is the miggy has a few issues 3 lights on on the dash t.c ,eml, air bag and also the rev counter is sticking he says he has had it plugged in @ vauxhall who told him to replace the clocks and the lights would go out and also the drivers door only opens when you put the key in but all other doors open on the fob any suggestions would be helpful :y :y

Hello & Welcome

replacing the clocks wont turn out the lights.
you will have to investigate, and fix each issue.

Sounds like a dodgy ABS ECU wants repair / replacing
Your door motor will need changing

You will need to plug it into a diag computer yourself to see what the airbag faults are

You can check the engine codes with just a paperclip.

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum.

The door is a faulty driverside door actuator, they cost about £15 secondhand. The lights on the dash are warning lights. If the TC and ABS light is on and the speedo doesnt work then its probaly the ABS ECU as for the engine management light you'll have to do the paperclip test to get the codes.
