Hi guys just thought I'd say hello (not a fan of those forum lurkers).
Bought a V6 CDX last week to strip and have a but of fun with on the track (drifting) and was so impressed with it on the drive home that I'm going to buy myself a diesel for running to work in lol
Been a fairly big vauxhall fan having had couple of Vectras, few Astras, corsa frontera and got another Astra at the house for the wife and now the Omega (soon to be 2) :)

hey there coog. welcome.
omega for purpose drift car... good lad ;)
Welung advised me to disconnect the ABS ECU (which controls TC) for drifting. Apparently it still gets involved even when you switch TC off the normal way. Maybe route to a switch in dash! (if poss)
Don't forget, this ain't no 10 second race...

By the way (sorry to semi-hijack)
Does anyone know which models have an LSD and which don't? Maybe another reason why mine is so hard to get sideways...

Welcome bud! :y

Hi, welcome to the forum. :y

Thanks for the awesome welcome guys!!
I can disable the TCS on the dash with the button, should I also disconnect the ABS module? Where abouts is it?

Pretty sure only certain MV6's came with a LSD (inc police spec ones). It should be easy enough to check, just jack the rear wheels off the ground and spin one. If they both rotate the same direction then you have LSD, if not then chances are you have an open diff or a broken LSD.
I just installed a MIG spec differential. It's a bit ghetto but then the car is intended for 'tramp' drifting.

not sure where the ABS module is. I only heard about that recently. Before I was just using the TC button on the dash, and having to rag it to get sideways, or wait for favourable weather conditions! ;)
lmao @ tramp drifting. love it. that's where it's at till I'm good enough / rich enough for a nissan silvia with $40k under the hood! :P

im doing the same as you ive chosen the gls model cause it aint got no heavy air con and sunroof to remove plus leather seats weight over 20kgs each if you have them
weld the diff and ill see you down the pod.
