Title: Hello, new to the site

Hello everyone, please can some one help?
I have a light on the dash, its the car with spanner through the middle, it will illuminate after around 5 mins of driving, then the engine/gearbox will go into emergency mode, Ie, starting off in 3rd gear, turning the engine off clears the light, but 5 mins later its back on  :( is this a Tech 2 garage job to sort out?
