Title: cambelt change
Post by: johnny.dee on 14 August 2006, 10:15:27
reading through the facts on changing the cambelt yourself, there are differences of opinion on whether to tackle this or not. How hard is it really?
I am confident I can do this, but information is very sparce and Haynes isnt very clear either.
Some of you guys have the locking kits for hire, any offers and costs would be appreciated.
I already have my V6 stripped down as i'm replacing the oil cooler, themostat, spark plugs, accessory belt and cleaning out the throttle bodies, any other job(s) I should do at the same time?
I'm based in Essex.

Re-seal the stat to block connection....they are known to weap. I use the original naff gasket with some of the oil cooler goo.

If you can do the oil cooler then you can do the cambelt.......
