on my estate the irmscher spoiler brake light has never worked!!! does this have a seperate fuse for it? or anyone got any ideas as to why it wont work?
i have taken the light out and looked at it,but it seems to be a sealed unit...
any ideas?

Is it a strip of L.E.D's? If it is, perhaps they've all blown. Before you do anything more complicated, have you tried the unit direct from the battery, just to see that it works. :question

just took it to bits...the led 's on the circuit board are shot to bits inc the board itself :'( so it looks like a new one...
any one know how much the led strip is going to cost me please????

whats happened to the circuit board??
It should be possible to replace the leds and any drive transistors....and perhaps add a bit of protection for the leds in future

the resistor thing fell off! i tried to resolder it back but im not sure if its on the right way round????,the whole board is rusty round the leds... are you offering help pete ;)

I replaced the one in the spoiler on my saloon, in Feb 05,that cost £66.80 from Vx. I'd guess that you're looking at a similar price, unless someone else on here knows better. :'(

I'd be surprised if it's worth the bother of trying to repair it.
There must be someone on here who's breaking one?
Personally, I'd get a price from Vx, also a part number, and then decide if you can save enough to be worth the trouble. ;)
