Plug in and start Tech2
Press enter at Welcome graphic.
Select Diagnose
Select year
Select Omega-B
Select Infotainment
Select Multi Info Display
Turn on ignition (not engine) when prompted
Press Confirm soft button when its communicated
Select Program

The next steps are a little vague but basically it should prompt for a Code Index.

IIRC, its 018 for v6 auto or 017 for v6 manual, but I'd have to double check...

As I say, I'd need to double check those are correct, but I guessed 017 on Tunnie's manual Elite and 018 on Auto Project TB1 and they both seem fairly close. There is also a calibration setting for both range and consumption - this is where you fine tune both to your exactly car, though every one I've ever seen (except my MV6 coz I did it properly) is set as default...

I have always found my consumption on the MID very accurate, i reset the consumption and drove for a tank full and compared the MID to working it out on paper.

Found it to be pratically the same, just 0.5 mpg out....

Now I know what those strange numbers mean on my MID if I push the two buttons on the right stalk together. Its amazing the information you can get without even posting.  There are so many push and hold buttons and switches on an Omega to set up or reset systems, shall we set up  a definitive place we could add anything we find, especially those like me who have no handbook, pass etc.

I seem to be missing something - so what do these numbers mean then? I have '24060' on mine, not a clue what it is... Definitely not the mileage (I wish..)
