I think I have developed a leak in my radiator, and was hoping that I could solve it using Radweld, as I have done on other cars I've had before.

However, is there no filler cap directly into the radiator? I took the front panel off and there doesn't seem to be a cap to open up?

How would I go about putting radweld in, or would that be a no-no...?
-
i'd only use rad weld as a temp mesure tbh.....

where bouts are you and what engine have you got?
-
Not a fan of radweld, but I guess it could go in by disconnecting top hose?

It is certainly only a temporary measure, I can't afford a whole new radiator or the time off work at the moment to get it looked at. Its a 2.5 V6 engine.

I used to put an egg in, but dont suppose I should do that nowadays either ;D I thought that was an old wives tale? Does it work?
-
It certainly did! The egg wouldn't set until it hit the fresh air ie. the leak. Didn't last long though. My mate( a real tight b*****d, used to go through a dozen eggs a week) ;D

If your going to use one of those type of products, I think K-Seal is a better product.

 Made by Kalimex www.kalimex.co.uk.

You will find it on fleabay

Sure it does. You push a whole fresh egg with the shell into the expansion tank, warm the engine up to running temperature, then drive around for exactly 3 minutes and it is ready to eat...

Is there any truth that Free Range are better at sealing than their caged counterparts?

Yes there is, but unfortunately the once-common practice of stuffing live chickens down the radiator is no longer legal.
