Title: what is this noise ??????

hi all, :)
gota 1998 2.5 cdx got this annoying noise under the bonnet when i first start up sounds like as i only can discribe as a hoover or jet engine lol, stops after about 60 seconds or so, when the car has been used it only last for about 10 seconds, its drives me bloody mad can any tell what it could be and if poss how to stop it,

Welcome to site :)

Secondary air injection pump.

You can unplug it (behind bumper, passenger side), or repair a split hose just behind radiator....
