Title: 2 Easy ones for ya... ;)

Hi Guys,

First off, I would like some help with a chirping or rapid chiriping noise.
It's coming from the cam belt cover.
Only had the cam belt kit replaced a month or so ago. Worried that something is going to go twang... any thoughts?

Also I cannot find a VIN Plate on my Car.
The one on the slam panel is blank, so is the one under the drivers seat.
Is there one anywhere else?
Failing that, anyone know what the Paint code for the Ex-Plod White MV6?

Sorry carnt really help on the noise, except is it the belt rubbing perhaps?

Isnt the VIN number on a plate rivited to the dash? Just below where your tax disk would go?
It is on mine, but not sure about prefacelifts  :-/

Yeah 'tis, but doesn't have the paint code on it.. at least not one that I recognise.

I developed a noise a short while after doing my cambelt too.
Take the aux belt off & see if the noise is still there, if it is; get it checked ASAP.

Did they replace the water pump?

Yes they did the Water pump, and the AUX Drive belt.

A " B" plate , urmmmmmmmmm it was the year after the A plate registration  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

A pillar or post is the front screen sides.
B pillar/post is what the front door shuts into or the rear doors hinge on.
C pillar/post is the rear windscreen sides.


Sorry if it states the obvious to some, but may also clear for others.    :y

The VIN Plate was on the B Pillar.. thanks.

My old 1990 GTE was Glacier White, and the colour had been around a bit even them...
