Title: What brake pads?????????????

I have a 1995 M reg Omega 2.5 V6,
I want to buy some front brake pads for my car,  :-/
I have seen some advertised as Lucas or ATE depending on caliper,
Can anyone help what pads I should buy, also what do the ends look like, I have seen flat ends or some pads with (how do I describe this?) little whale tails on the end!!!!!!!!!! :-[

I think the standard Vauxhall ones are fine, esp if you get them at trade club price...

Yep.....Vx ones, the front ones look like space invaders (i.e. little whale tails on them) and the rear ones are small rectangular ones......

Various views exist about where to get them from and I'm sure others will comment.  My experience is that Ferodo are fine but I could not argue they are better than VX.  

If you have pad wear indicators then you'll probably need to get those as well - they almost always break when you try to get them out of the old pads - watch out 'cos whoever sells them to you may not realise the indicators are difference between the ATE and Lucas calipers.
