On the subject of toys, would I be able to fit the computer display from my V6, into the 2.0? Currently it's only got the old one that displays date, time etc in the 2.0 GLS, but It would be nice to have the fuel computer and stuff.
I've got a scrap 2.0 that had a computer in.
Other than changing the stalk with the switch, could I just fit it and it would work?
Or am I dreaming? :P

Some nice person from this site did say that they'd see about compiling a list of upgrades that you could do to facelift Omegas (like the cruise control, sunblinds etc etc.). This was said on the Dark side however, so it may just have been to impress them! [smiley=wink.gif]
Sounds like a list of easy mods for all Omegas would go down well (ie. stuff ripped from scrap yard Elites that could be fitted to a CD or GLS). I would do it myself, but I haven't got a clue about mods. I have managed the cruise control and fitting a Magic tree though [smiley=smiley.gif]

Being that mine is a pre facelift CD spec I have fitted a rear blind and full leather, I have an auto dipping mirror which still needs wiring in, also have since fitted a high level brake light.
Hope this helps.

Electric rear windows are pretty easy, you need:
Rear motor assemblies
Rear window switches
Idealy the rear door cards (or cover teh winde holes)
Front centre console switches.
Pop rivets
A drill
Its worth checking the loom in the bottom of the B post has the extra wires to the multiway connector first

I also forgot to mention I have since fitted Projector headlights after reshelling them. :)

How did you fit the " magic tree" Ghosts in my machine !!!
Can you write up a " how too " as i can never remember to take the magic tree out of the bag fully or have it hanging there half uncovered ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

True, too much stink if you take it right out of the bag

I have now abandoned the Magic tree and am now using a "neutrogena" thingy designed for you bathroom lodged in the cup holder under the arm rest.
Its cheaper, lasts longer and apparently neutralises the smell rather than just masks it.
There is a down side, the chemicals attack the plastic under the arm rest a little. Addition of an old envelope on top has sorted this out.

cheers, this post seems to be generating a lot of discuss about mods to the car. Thanks for the ideas, i'll check 4 the multiway thing in the b pillar. ;D

Seriously, easy mods I have done:-
High level brake light
clear headlights
walnut trim to doors
sunglasses holders
"new"style Griffin to boot handle
clear flank indicators
"xenon" bulbs
better/bigger alloys
