two items cropped up today
1.After washing car (power wash) condensation on the inside of the headlight glass (2000 2.2 CDX facelift). Any thoughts about how to remove it - Cant find any leaks etc around the glass?
2 Had a definite shuddering thro steering when breaking hard - garage advised changing pads and discs - done both. Now on normal driving fine , but when slowing from motorway speed shuddering again but have noticed that it is not noticable in wet road conditions Wishbones??????? maybe - or what else (150k on clock)

Condensation in facelift headlights can be normal......mine doesnt do it.....but then its never been pressure washed, i did try a carwash once but it left it with a dirty strip down the middle of the tailgate, conclusion too big for carwash! So it gets handwashed now.
Vx fix for condensation in headlights is, leave headlights turned on for 20mins, if condensation clears, nothing wrong!
Dont think you can do much about it, apart from changing the units.
I still think its a brakes problem, esp as you mention when wet conditions its ok, so brakes are being kept cool with the spray.
Other worn parts wouldnt be affected by wet roads.

I'd bet your headlight is on the passenger side.
I've had 2 new units in past 3 years and it started misting up again last week.
Same side on my previous W plate - but offside always seems fine.
TD is right - Vx have no fix and it's supposed to be a sealed unit so no DIY.
Live with it or replace it :'(

tried headlamp on for 20 mins - 50% condensation gone try again later - It might all go!!!!
Dropped calliper down -removed pads 99% unworn but one of the springs a little loose around the rivet - checked run out on discs - negligable. If it still shakes and shimmys after test will change the pads AGAIN
Anyone with 2.2 what mileage are you getting
1) around town 2) motorway runs ?
I'm getting 21 and 29mpg resp.
Oh the joy of omegas

When the disks and pads where changed, did you treat the brakes with 'kid gloves' for a good few hundred miles? to let them bed in.
Sounds about right for a 2.2 auto ......unless you've got Tunnies 2.2 ;D

the wobble could also be worn track rod ends?
-
No bent alloys or tyre wall damage?
I assume the hubs were super clean when the discs were fitted (no grit in between the disc and hub?)

Thanks for all the suggestions
Update - headlight lens is now clear but for a few dry tracks on the inside - moral don't power wash omega lights!!!!
Brakes all stripped down - discs true so OK calliper slides appear straight BUT when checked against a straight edge one is off true and very slightly pitted and all are dry. Replace a slide clean up all slides and internals and tiny touch of copper grease on each one - don't want it escaping on the pads reassemble all after giving everything a clean with brake cleaner and all OK - I hope.
