Title: Whats that red smartie on the top of my dash?

What is that red smartie thing on the top of my dash by the screen?  Something to do with the climate control?

must be the remote receiver?

It is the sunlight sensor for the climate.

Don't know where the remote receiver is for the alarm though - early models (95 - 96 I think) used infared but all later models use IR so it could be anywhere.

The early ones with IR central locking had the reciever mounted adjacent to the sunroof control switch.

Mine's red - looks more like a strepsil than a smartie though.  ;D

I was looking for a colour photo but couldn't fond one so had to settle for b&w...

Its ok mj we can print it out and colour it in ourselves.  ;D
