Post by: omega si on 09 December 2006, 16:16:33
Hi,

Anyone got a spare rocker cover gasket I could buy off them? 2.5 v6. Got the car in bits but no gasket. Cant see anyone being open on a sunday to get one. Could really do with getting it back on the road before monday.

Also after an egr valve if anyone can help?

Thanks for reading

Si

PS Distance is no object (company fuel card!!)

Can't you put the old one in temporarily? Failing that I'm not that far from you and I've still got my old ones, just fitted the new ones. Mine were changed about 4 years ago and haven't leaked, I had got new ones so fitted them anyway but you are welcome to come and get them if you want.

Cheers for the offer but I dont want to put old rocker gaskets on, build it all back together and then have to strip it down again and fit new next weekend.

Appreciate the thought tho.

I've got 1 spare, unused. FAI (make, not an acronym!) and seems very good. Only needed one on a previous (now sold) project.

Yours if you want it, no charge. :)

Thanks for the gasket laidback66  :y

Put it on as soon as I got home with the help of a floodlight. Neighbours must think im barking!
Should give it plenty of time to cure over night.

Ow dear....FAI are one of the worst (much to hard)....wish I had seen this before, I have a set of genuine ones and my project is now delayed for a few days so could have got them replaced before I needed them.
