I've got a nearside sidelight out, can anyone tell me if the bulb holder just pushes in or held in by a clip?. Would appreciate any help.

Small side light bulbs - just push and twist in/out - only headlight bulbs are held in place with a clip :y

Thanks Chopsdad, I'll get it done tomorrow now that I know that, cheers mate.

No worries Mick ;) They usually come in packs of 2 so why not get some blue ones and keep your other as a spare. 8-)

Good Idea, I'll do that.

The pair I put in mine didn't last very long though - less than a year - which was how I'd ended up with no side lights at all! :(

Depends on the year, not on mine.......

Yeah - mine blew and I went to VX for replacement - asking for a '98 model. Got given the (presumably) facelift ones, which were tiny.
Halfrauds don't appear to stock bulbs for the Omega either... no suprises there though.
Mine had the old bayonet fitting, although the two little prongs were offset slightly.

Mine (99 pre facelift) are the all glass wedge lamps, the holders themselves just push into the back of the headlight. Be careful that while you're struggling to get your hand in, it's possible that these lamps can come out of the holder and fall into the headlight itself! :( It was a right barsteward to get it back out! >:(

Did what Chopsdad suggested and yes Andy they are all glass wedge fit into bulb holder. As was said, a bit difficult to get out. I've replaced the bulb with a 5watt, same as the one I took out. Working fine now, so you were both right with your info, thanks again for your help, especially Chopsdad.

Thanks Mick - Did you get the blue ones, they fade after about a year but still work on mine 2 years on. :y
