Decided not to wait until tuesday.
Took about hour, 20 mins spent trying to get those dam clips off, im sure someone puts them on in a position that you carnt get clip pliers on to them on purpose >:(
Atho a bit oily they wernt blocked and no crud either......but did use a tin of carb cleaner cleaning them out anyway.
I reused the gasket for the metal tube, but will fit the new one when i get it.
And ive noticed something......that i hadnt spotted before.....Ive only got 9 star type bolts holding cam cover down.......ones been replaced with a normal bolt :o
Its the one far back on the right side.......where its leaking from.......im suspecting this is the reason >:(
Bet the vx dealer doesnt have the correct bolt and i have to order one on tuesday :(

Not convinced the bolt type would make a difference. Possibly hasn't been torqued properly (or its a bigger bolt coz some idiot has stripped the thread?

Good on ya TD - I bet you feel better for doing it ;)

I was just wondering if the 'o' ring is still in place.....and yes certainly wouldnt have been torqued correctly......btw is there an order to tightening the bolts?

I just go ahead and use the kitchen and living room whichever way I like i.e. for clueing, painting, or just otherwise stripping car parts (when my wife is away on holiday in another country that is...)

Was thinking of having a go at the throttle body at some point.....after the cam gasket of course....as its looking a bit oily around the base of it......but couldnt even see that electrical connector in your how to.....mind you its a bit tight around it with the lpg injectors getting in the way :-/
