Removed the 10mm nut on the cambelt cover, so i can lift off the mass of looms and wires that go across the front, although not very far.
Still can't pull the cambelt cover back very far at all, can barley see the top of the belt and a few teeth on the cogs!
Where abouts is the nut to release the sensor, nothing in Hayes about it i assume its something only on the 2.2's not 2.0's?

It should unplug Tunnie, leave cam sensor in place, no need to remove !

errr ::)
The cable tray that goes across the front of the engine? with the big loom cables going though it? - I removed the nut underneath that which alloys the tray to slide upwards, but it does not go enough the loom cables stop it going very far

Take the nut and washer off underneather the tray......pop the cover of the top of the tray....remove the tray leaving the cables behind...pull the cables upwards so it allows the cambelt cover to come back as far as the aux belt :y

Is the cable tray fastened to the cam cover by two nuts?
Remove the nuts and release the cable tray.
The two nuts screwed onto a stud sticking out of a 10mm hex pillar....undo the pillars and cover should come off...if you found all the other bolts.
