Title: N/S idler arm
Post by: old cruiser on 04 January 2007, 14:59:40
Does anyone know the correct torque settings for the idler I know the setting for the one that connects to the centre tie rod assembly which is 60Nm, but need to know setting of the other end where the heat shield connects to.
cheers Pete

Ok thanks Mark appreciate that if you could.
Would appear that vauxhall state (in the unmentionable!) that the torque setting is 118 lbf ft (160Nm) which to me seems ridiculously tight (maybe this is for the Drop arm on driver's side perhaps) would probably end up stripping the thread, so for the moment I have torqued to 44 lbf ft (60Nm).
Cheers Pete
