I'm not sure if this feature is fitted on all models.

The lever unscrews on mine.  Is there an aperture in the cowling on the LHS where the lever should be?

Any other pre/Elite owners?

There's loads of pre/Elites owners on here, someone should be able to advise soon.

If its pre minifacelift then it won't have it.  Apparently not too difficult to retrofit, but you do need to change column...

minifacelift is Model Year 98, so 1997 is borderline. Does your steering wheel have audio controls?

As I pointed out in another thread, just to clear any confusion you car is a pre mini-facelift

A few days for reference:

Omega '94 - '98 :: pre mini-facelift
Omega '98 - '99 :: mini-facelift
Omega '99 - '03 :: facelift

i have just returned from the top of a very high building....

pre mini facelift...i cannot come to terms with this....no bose, no steering wheel controls...no xenons

why is life like this

i am now going to throw my toys out of the pram

i am very bitter

on a positive note...car is smooth as silk, ultra comfy, a real mid range kick!

heated rear seats!

paolo, you can live without adjustable steering column, steering wheel controls and xenons, I don't know how though, I've got em and I love em.  Suggest you try tall building again!!! ;D ;D ;D
