Hello
Can anyone help with this?
I need to replace the auto gearbox on my '94 car and have the chance of getting a very low mileage one off a '99 car.
With the minor facelift in '97 came some changes to the gearbox.
Does anyone know what the changes were?
Were there big changes e.g. the mapping of the gearbox ECU would not match up with the engine ECU?
Or were the changes so minor I could swap bits over from old box to the new one?
Both cars are 2.5 litre petrol.

To the best of my knowledge, the modifications were purely software based.
The mechanicals should be the same, so it should be straightforward ( ::)) enough.
For ease, change the complete gearbox, do not try and swap parts over.
The sofware changes will not affect the engine ECU, which is totally seperate.
Good luck! :)

Thank you. Much appreciated.

Will the speedo on the new 'box match the older one?
