I havent seen my EML come on for a while now since the cam sensor was changed
It came a month or so back briefly and reading the codes it gave P1700 and P0700.
Sat, when Tunnie was driving it came on briefly again.
Today as i was pulling out of a junction in heavy traffic....i floored it to get accross the junction turning right.....EML came on and engine cut out :o
Other drivers where not too happy they had to stop while i restarted and moved
I need to read the codes.....new keyboard for laptop on the way :y
But i carnt think of a reason why the engine should just cut out like that and thats a bit dangerous if i carnt trust it :(:-/

Does it go into limp mode again?
Very limp mode! As it cut out on me! :(
-
Well it hasnt done it since......but i am now wary of leaving an extra big gap when pulling out of junctions is case it does it again!
Now ive now replaced my laptop keyboard :-[ and rebuilt it with a nice new 50G disk......i got round to reading the codes just now......nothing apart from
P0700 and P1700 as usual ::)
So nothing stored......to explain why it did what it did :(

No code stored for it........plus it had a new one fitted in the quest to fix the the cam sensor problem

Fuel starvation?

Fuel starvation?
It was running on lpg at the time and altho it can miss a bit when first switching to lpg when the engines still warming up (and thats a mystery to me why the ecu never records missfires detected! :-/ )
But once its hot (which it was) it never misses usually......which i would have expected if its been starved of lpg....plus the lpg ecu will switch it back to petrol if it detects a problem....and it does do that seemlessly when i run outa lpg.
It was just like the ignition had been turned off.....reving one sec than next dead!
Hopefully it wont do it again and it was just a one off :y
