Hi peeps !
Sorry no postings latley :'(
Megga is running as it should , and last posting explains how happy ;D is was with the MOT .
Sooooooooooo twiddling me thumbs here looking for things to do ! ::)
Is there any beifit to giving the old girl a drink of redex !! Like i said runs ok, but wondered if redex actually did anything in a prevention kind of manner - like clean injectors !!!
Just wondering ! Might give the megga another oil change soon, as i am sooooooooooo bored ! LLOLL

You could always give it a taste of Shell Vmax or BP Optimate instead of the Redex. Certainly makes my beastie drive better and, bonus is, that you have fun while cleaning out the injectors! :y

Forte is recommended by some here...
Also, regular oil changes is never going to harm ;)
What about other simple stuff - coolant, brake fluid, fuel filter etc etc, any of those approaching 2 yrs old?

Let me know how that goes, and benefits ect.. considering treating the 2.2 to some of that because of my affair with the Senator ::)

Awwwwwwwww Tunnie you old softy you !
In love with the Senator, and neglecting the Meega ! :-/
Do you think the Meega will forgive you if you give it a drink of Forte !
Still better than being hitched, i dont think me Missus would appriciate any Forte !
Will let you know of any miricle results mate, but have to find the stuff first

It's only available to the trade so Ebay is your best bet - Vx stock it too but £££££££

Agreed, this is one of the few times fleaBay is the place to go!
Be interesting to see what that stuff does, I doubt any has ever been put in mine. However since personal maintenance, breathers & oil ect... it has been running smoother. If i was working i would be tempted to try a couple of tanks of Optimax or something similar, since its the same price now as regular stuff was about a year ago.

Been on Redex for the past 8 years, this stuff is A1....
Since I started using BT Ultimate, I reduced the Redex to once every four tanks as opposed to every tankfull.
I suppose that other makes are also good (STP, Forte), some may be better, but between this and that some cleaning agent with the petrol is a must.
Incidentally, I recently had a couple of tankfulls of Texaco 97 (I think they call it an un-imaginative 'High Perfromance High Octane') since my local garage was out of BT Ultimate >:(, and the car seems to drive better than with BT Ultimate... Probably just my imagination :o
