Ok, located an ignition barrel and housing, but I need to take it off myself.
It's held on, by 2 shear bolts. Access is not great.
Are there any tips for removing these?

Drop the column and knock them round with a sharp centre punch or if you have some mini vice-grips you can get hold of them with those and turn them a bit at a time.
-
Centre punch the bolt head then drill a 3mm pilot.
Follow up with the largest drill that will fit in the recess and drill off the head (only). Look out for two thin steel washers under the bolts, you will need these.
Either buy replacement bolts from Vx or get some socket cap head bolts (Screwfix). I cant remember if they are M5 or M6.
Use locktite on the new bolts.

The problem with a drill, is that the dash is in the way, and I can't get a drill in there :(
May have to just resort to tapping them around if I can...

Take column out, one shear bolt, one nut, one bolt and one pinch bolt. 20 mins tops, then into nice warm garage or shed to swap lock housing.
Dont forget to disconnect battery though before you unplug steering wheel (airbag)
Why are you replacing the housing? cant you change just the barrel?

need to replace the housing, due to it being attacked by a drill :(
