does anyone know of a quickshift kit for a 94 2.0 omega? is it possible to modify the gear leaver or linkage yourself?

Someone on here has done it, but I don't know the details..

Yes, PaulM has reduced the height and throw of his 3.0MV6 manual, it gives a much sorter though.
But in a 2.0 its not really worth it tbh

Yes, PaulM did it in his MV6, just shorterned the level though. He did post a piccy if you want to search for it :)

Yeah I think you PM'd me and I replied with the details... here are the pics again to show the reduced height. Not sure if there's any difference with the 2.0 shifter but it's definitely a worthwhile improvement. Not as good as a real short shifter which moves the pivot point up too, but a shed load cheaper assuming you can get one for the Omega at all.

thanks for that paul. I'll definitely give it a try as the standard shifter is way too long.
next question. i also have a 2.5 auto estate and an ex plod mv6 auto. the estate i can live with being auto but the mv6 is going to be converted to manual. what gearboxes, flywheels, pedal boxes, cables and props will fit? will any of the bits from my rusted to death carlton 3000 gsi 24v be of any use?
