Title: Electrical faults fixed, need CAT.
Post by: Jim Bob2 on 05 February 2007, 18:43:18
:yAfter a year of head scratching I have finaly found the cause of my TC, rev counter and fuel consuption on MID, failing to work. The Vauxhall main dealer could'nt find it after 2 hours of work and its been driving me crazy, but after a few snippits of very valuable info from 'The Boy' and 'Marks DTM Calib' (thanks very much to you both by the way),they pointed me in the direction of the large X3 connector behind the battery complete with teeth marks and bare wires hanging out ! It turns out that a mouse or something similar has knawed through the engine RPM signal wire. Its had a go at some others too but not all the way through luckily.
After a bit of soldering the job was done.
Yes, I know they p#ss up the curtains but I'm afraid I'm going to have to get a cat.

What makes you think the Cats buggered.....

If it is then get second hand ones....they very rarely fail...
