Title: gearbox problems >:(

Hi guys new to the omegas ive got an elite on an N plate v6 3ltr with auto box used to drive on take of with high revs as i would not engage 1st gear she would move of with a thud and now she only goes in reverse


Do i need a new box or is there something im missing?

OK now im  :-? car could only move if i selected reverse then i cleaned the switch and now drive forward only if i press the snow button and the traction control button
although she moves forward it is in drive and the revs are high ( prob due to the pressing of the snow button ) i still dont know wat 2 do any ideas

The symptoms suggest you need to do the relatively easy first, which is change the fluid.

Don't know your mileage but on a 96 N plate, if it has the original fluid (likely) then it will not be good!

Just remember you need Dexron III (regardless of what the muppets at the dealership may say!)
Opie oils sell good stuff at around £25 for 5 litres.

cheers laidback the oil and filters  were changed about 3 months ago  and was working fine uptill then since the change she dont want to play  :-?
