Title: Glove box removal on facelift model
Post by: RobG on 18 February 2007, 22:06:44
Hi, Any advice on removing glovebox on 2000 facelift model. I removed the three torx screws to raise airbag cover. Removed top two and bottom two screws on glovebox. Removed side cover by air vent and removed lower screw (appears to screw into glovebox). The problem I have is above the lefthand top screw there appears to be some sort of fixing that prevents the glovebox from being pulled forward and out. Any ideas please would be much appreciated.

Just that Mr Haynes says there are only 4 screws holding the glove box in when there actually 5 on the mini facelift and onward cars!! It took me bloody ages fing the 5th which is as you say under the D shaped side cover.
