Title: Leather seat transplant
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 18 February 2007, 21:35:48
As many may know, I've got a set of leather that I want to put in my 2.0 GLS.

Now, the motor mechanism may be knackered on the new leather drivers seat.

Presumably, it looks like I can just put these leather seats onto the mechanical bases on my original seats - doing away with the electrics and just having a manual adjustment?

Quiestion is, what about seat-back adjustment, I'm wondering if that will work too. I'm not worried at all about electrics, if I can get the leather to fit

Any advice appreciated..

A few things, did I see heated seat switches?

For now I would strip and clean the mechanism and see if that helps, also scour local scrappies for Elites to knick motors out of.

You may as well get it all working

Have you wired the box in properly, I posted a piccy of how it should be wired in, in your other thread not sure if you saw it if not maybe worth a look.

The diagram I think was done by andy8.

If its just how its been wired you maybe able to have your memory functions.
