Is this meant to run all the time when the engine is on?
And the aux air pump...If I was to remove all of it would I get any error codes or EML signs?
Plug the ends of the silver pipes that go to exhausts and remove the rest...I cant remember if there's a valve/servo thingy that gives a signal to the ECU?

There is a small ECU controlled valve that needs to be kept, its below the vac solenoid on the right hand side of the rad (although a 1K ohm resistor across the connector would probably do the same job).
AA batteries fit nicely in the short rubber coupling pipes that join to the main stainless pipe with the one way valve unit in it.
Then just rip the rest out!
Aux pump under the coolant tank should only run when the heater bypass valve allows coolant through the heater matrix.

Thanks fella.

? Different car I know but ...... I thought the aux water pump (combined with engine fan) was to dissipate heat around a hot engine on shut down. Mine's near the rad - passenger side

I think there was some sort of climate pack that involved another leccy pump by the header tank.
I think all omegas have the leccy pump by the rad on the n/s

The cold weather pack added a second pump below the coolant bottle....

Cold weather pack? What else was included in it?

;D ;D ;D Nice!
Seriously, I can only remember the Weather Pack being offered early on in the Omega production run. I think is was termed as the Weather Pack and included Heated Seats and Front Fogs. People with better knowledge of such things will no doubt correct this if incorrect!
The purpose of the Aux coolant pump is to keep warm coolant passing through the heater matrix when the engine is switched off meaning that you do not have to run the engine to stay warm in the car whilst stopped.

Ive got the aux pump on mine but no heated seats.

I've got heated seats front & back but only the one electric water pump by the main rad. :-/

I've got the aux pump but no heated seats ('99 reflection). Some people have said that it is related to having climate control (not got that either, just air con)
-
I've got the aux pump, heated seats, front fogs, heated washer jets and aircon, not bad for a 96GLS 8-)
