Title: Increasing CR on Y engines
Post by: Martin_1962 on 28 February 2007, 23:35:44
Would it be worth it?

How would you do it?

Just wondering.

Never go below 97RON

No Idea.

Skim the heads or find a taller piston / con rod combination that fits.

Fit the earlier heads.....would need to make some measurements as it might be a piston change.....

Benefits....higher compression ratio = more pwoer....

Interesting - if I had time and spare car - just want another 20bhp or so and I think that higher CR cars are more efficient.

With 97RON and LPG you can happily run higher CRs 12:1 is common on full LPG conversions
