do you prefer it to the omega??
i almost bought a 156 1.8 off the guy who sold me my first car, but he wanted too much for it and tried to tell me it was dirt cheap!
-
i have always wanted a V6 alfa but have been scared with the lack of relaibility and FWD, but as clarkson has said the interiors are fantastically styled, but how practical are they?
As will said, is it better than the miggy?
-
Better than the miggy? Phew! I'd be a brave man to say that. The omega is a fantastic car, and I still might go back to a late plate omega one day.
The alfa is very hard to compare to the omega, you buy them for different reasons.
Both are cheap to buy, yet expensive to keep going.
I guess it comes down to what every ex-alfa owner will tell you. You've just gotta have at least one to appreciate the very best a car can offer..........and the very worst ;D ;D
-
id want a car that i dont have to worry about the electrics failing on me..
my omega was faultless in that respect!
I do like Alfa's though!

Well, never, ever buy an alfa :D

I had a real hoot of a couple of years with a 2.5 V6 Alfa 75 that I rescued from goint to the scrappers.... Ideal Q car, caught a lot out by subtle styling and being relatively unknown. Most folks thought it was a Fiat of some sort (close...) but best of all, was the last of the RWD.
Engine note was very similar to the V6 'meega. Even the wife said so and she is a technical idiot (says B, ducking and looking over his shoulder.....) ;D
As for eectrics, once you suss that the car is fully wired with earth returns, not using chassis grounds, its a lot clearer to work on, I found. Dunno if the same for the later models though.

It certainly has looks to die for (I think)

That's the 'go faster' stick. Without one of these, your car will be very sluggish.
-
And then there is the "go a lot faster button!" :)
Everyone has to own an Alfa at some point... it is a rite of paasage for any real driver. ;)

I've had an old style Miggy and currently on a facelift one. Inbetween I had an Alfa GTV which was a brilliant car though some of the interior trim was coming away. That aside it flew along nicely. Rather have the Miggy though!
