Title: ADDING miles to a mileometer
Post by: Varche on 16 March 2007, 19:35:32
This might sound a daft question but it isn't. Is there a way of adding miles onto the mileometer. I've had the dash off before to replace a blown bulb. Is it as easy as just turning one of the dials by hand?

In the olden days I seem to remember a friend (not me of course) trying to reduce the miles with a black and decker connected up to the flexi speedo drive - remember those!!

Changing the true mileage of a car odometer be it back or forward to show a mileage that is not the genuine mileage of the car is illegal.

You know we don't allow discussion of illegal topics on here so I have no choice but to lock this thread.
