Title: Central Locking 02 Omega
Post by: omegadan2.2i on 18 March 2007, 21:44:59
Hi all

Just recently bought a 2002 2.2i CD Saloon and the central locking on the passenger front door was 'lazy' (i.e. would not fully raise or lower the button when locking/unlocking), however now it does NOT work at ALL!!! >:( >:(

I want to know if this is a common fault and is it an easy fix (i.e a few squirts of WD) or whether I need a new solenoid?

Obviously I will need to remove the door panel - what is the best way to remove it without causing much cursing and swearing!! (and possible damage!!)

Cheers :)

Dan

Fairly common....

You're going to need replacement CDL motor.  There is a guide in Maintenence Guides section about removing facelift doorcard.

No idea, but I imagine not cheap.

The passenger side is normally fine, so see if anyone here has a spare going cheap...
