Title: Stuck Blind
Post by: QPRgord on 16 March 2007, 10:37:21
Morning Gents.....

I cannot get my rear blind to work...if i press the button i hear a click sound from the blind but nothing happens.
anyone had this before? there doesn't seem to be anything blocking or jamming it.

Lube the runners with a dry lubricant like ptfe spray. Dont use oil/grease!

If that doesn't fix it, its probably easier to get a 2nd hand blind.

Apparently the stuck blind is a common fault with Meegas caused by worm motor mechanism, not a simple job to remove the rear blind either.

I think they also seize through lack of use. Mine wouldn't move when I first got it - got it out and it worked fine for a while. Not used it for a month or so, now it's back to just clicking and not moving  >:(

They have a sensor like the windows which will stop it working if theres too much resistance, like dried runners    ....... I think

Had the same problem today on mine. Yesterday it worked fine a little slow but went up and down, now all i get is a click and its stuck about 2" from the bottem and its lifted the grill at the back of the shelf.  I'am i looking at a 2nd hand blind and motor? [smiley=angry.gif]

Thanks will try that. Does the grill just come off,as this has started to lift. If i pull the blind out the motor will return it to about 2" from the bottom but will not lift again.
