Good evening. Looking for some help please. Tried to fit a walnut effect dash panel from cdx to my cd with rotary controls but do'nt look good. All screw fixings are wrong & the four holes are wrong too. Does anyone know something i do'nt or should i not bother? If not is there another part that will fit. Any ideas please? Cheers amigov6.

The plastic wood is different between rotary heater controls and ECC....
Only wood for rotary heater controls available will be from early CDXs or Elites (94/95), and even they will have wrong fan speeds on, and wrong air distribution settings...

Thanks for reply. Was really looking forward to wood panel but never mind, i should 've checked first. Still such a peachy mig though, pics on gallery. However i'm going to rock gently backwards & forwards in the corner of the garage dribbling slightly until i come up with a solution, there must be a way!!!Cheers amigov6.

As said, get an early Elite or CDX wood bit - very early ones (ie 94 and early 95) had rotary heater controls rather than ECC. Then just work out a way to swap the fan speeds and air distribution bits over....

BTW, I've fixed your avatar - had too many http bits it ;)

Do a search on internet for 'animated gif creator' to find a tool to do a set of images like mine. There are plenty of free tools that can do it. This will generate a single .gif file with multiple images that display in sequence ;)

Thanks for all your help. I've got a mate who can do that gif thing for me(bit of a wizard) I've been told plugs & leads are a bit of a job on v6's, one bank of cylinders takes a bit of getting to & good leads can cost £100??? i want it done anyway, might leave it to the mechanic mate who did full cambelt kit for £235. Glad he did as one of the pulleys was about to sieze at 96000mls, scary!!! I spend loads of time & money pampering it 'cos i'm a tart!!! but the more i drive it the more i love it. It gets full service every 2to 3000mls and waxed at least once a fortnight if not weekly. Some may say that's overkill but it always looks & sounds peachy & should serve me well. anyway i'll shut up now, gotta be in swindon tomorrow in a scania not my big mig (sadly) At least i'm keeping mine on the road, i see many that you can tell are'nt being looked after, they should be dragged out of them & be made to drive 1.0 ltr hatchbacks. Thanks again, amigov6.
