As you can imagine, this would be quite a big How2.
But... if anyone thinks it's worth it.. I'm happy to produce one, seeing as I'm going to be changing heads over the next couple of days :)
What's the general view? If it's worth it, I'll pick up an SD card for my camera.....

I would imagine only a few members here would ever be confident enough to do a hg. And they would probably know how anyway...
However, saying that, I think it would be a very good idea to write one :y
After all, most wouldn't attempt cambelt until they saw the dvd ;)

Or in my case, daft enough ;D

You're doing for fun rather than necessity....

It will be a big job, and there will be lots of pics, but yes, if you can do a guide, it would be useful. :)

I'm not going to go into silly detail... because like Jaime says if anyone is taking on this job, they will be reasonably confident.
Eg, rather than.. remove throttle body coolant pipes.. undo bolts... remove air intake pipes... I will just say "remove plenum"...
Other option, is to pinch existing guides on here, for jobs that need to be done anyway, EG rocker gaskets, plenum removal etc... and just add to them... and mix and match to creat a HG How2....

I'd be interested.
Just the general detail + tips and snags would be great.

That's so true, done many major jobs on many cars, must agree with TB, I wouldn't have touched it without the DVD..

Cam belt scares me head gasket doesn't.
However haven't stripped a twin cam since I did a GS250T many years agos

Yes please... :)
It's true that not many here will attempt it, Omega values are going down and most people faced with a blown HG will either scrap the car or get a replacement engine...
BUT - I have all of JSeaman's and GeffD full engine rebuild pics from the other side, even though I don't actually plan to carry-out anything like that... it will be very educational.
If you don't have the time for a full How2 (I did a couple of simple ones and I know how time consuming it is...), then at least post the pics.

If I get time I will post a few bullet points to help you on your way.....they are a few bits you want to do in a certain order....

Yes id also be intrested in this.
I have previously stripped both heads from a 2.5v6 and removed them and (someone else) refitted as a transplant to another car, successfully.
So i would like to see the whole job :y
