my stereo has gone safe????????????? was perfect ,just call in the shop ,got back in stereo says safe.. anyone had this??? i no they usualy go safe after so many code attempts , but the battery hasn't been off or the stereo hasn't been disconnected..

Its had power interuption.

You just need to reenter code from carpass. CD may need its code entered as well...

THERE'S NO OPTION FOR THE CODE.. JUST SAYS SAFE.. I HAVE THE CODES FOR BOTH .. DO I HAVE TO PRESS SOMETHING TO GET TO ENTER THE CODE???

Ignition on with radio off. Press and hold AS and turn on radio, keeping AS held until bleep. then using '1' enter first digit, '2' for seconf digit etc.  Press and hold AS when done...

CD is same procedure, but pressing 0 (right of cassette flap) instead of AS...

CHEERS MATE, I'LL HAVE A GO IN THE MORNING.. I NO YOU SAID IT HAD A POWER INTERUPTION.. BUT ANY IDEAS WHAT COULD OF CAUSED IT?? OR IS IT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS TO THEM FROM TIME TO TIME?

Mine did this twice in the five years I've had it, on both occasions for no apparent reason...  :(

A battery on its last legs - ie the cranking takes the power so low that the radio thinks interruption?

i would of thought the battery was ok.. any way, redone the code and its all ok again.. thanks
