May seem like a stupid question, but is there a modification that can be carried out to stop the breathers getting blocked resulting in cam gaskets needing replacement?
Do the modifications made to the 1998 mini facelift 3.0 V6 engine resolve this?
Another question I wanted to ask is that I have an R reg Omega MV6 3.0 with the older engine. Is it possible/viable to buy the later plenum etc from the mini facelift 3.0 engine and retro fit it on mine? IF this is possible, is it worth doing, or not?
Cheers!

Yes, I nice easy mod - don't let the breathers get clogged ;)
Regular oil changes (ie, every 3 - 4k, rather than the daft 10k (or 20k on later ones) specified by Vauxhall, will help no end. I clean my breathers every year, but they are always clear anyway due to regular oil changes with Vauxhall Semi...

Agreed on the above. Once the breathers are clean properly (ie plenum and throttle bodies also) and regular oil changes are done then the breathers stay very clean (well they do on my MV6).
As for modifying plenum? No, I don't believe it can be done (throttle bodies further forward to cable would be an issue) but Mark will will advise.
