Title: Em Light on
Post by: omega18 on 01 April 2007, 20:14:49
Hi folks

I have just finished re-assembly of the V6 inlet manifold after oil-cooler and cambelt change and now the EML light is one. I have flashed what I think are the codes from it and have come up with the following:
31- crankshaft sensor no signal
and
59-inlet manifold valve 1 low voltage. :-?
I know where the crank sensor is located but I do not know what fault code 59 means,
could any of you kind folks let me know if you know what these mean?

Many Thanks Karl  :y

You'll get the 31 - Crank sensor if the engine is not running.

The 59, are you sure the connector is located correctly at the back of the manifold?

Its the rear multiram, and its an easy connector to forget when putting plenum back on.

Ignore the 31, thats normal.

I thought that I did connect the rear multiram back up but i will find out soon I guess.
The car sound amazing now though and the power steering now work as welll!! ;D

Many Thanks Karl  ;)

Rear multiram is easy to forget - you concentrate getting the plenum on etc, and that then hides the connector, so easily missed.  Same with the vac pipe that goes to same place as well ;)
