Title: thing on dashboard
Post by: rands100 on 06 April 2007, 15:39:53
I have a 97 Elite. In the middle of the dash on top is a 'thing'! According to Haynes manual its a sun sensor? But what exactly does it do?

It is a sun sensor, e.g when you're aircon is on and the sun hits windsreen/ sensor it boosts up the aircon i.e fans blow harder to combat the extra heat within the cabin.

Yes, its used by climate to see how sunny it is, and it then calculates how much heating the sun is providing and adjusts itself to compensate...
