Title: Push out or new?
Post by: MAMS on 06 April 2007, 22:31:26
OK folks, when i picked up my 'meega  the daft bugger who had it before had previously had a little parking incident in it! (he said he found the car too big for him) and theres a wee dunt in the O/S wing above the bumper and the wee bit of plastic(?) from under the light is missing.

Looking to do hunting at the scrappies for the part under the light but wondered what the thoughts were on pushing out the dent or replacing the wing?

Is replacing the wing a seriously difficult thing to do?

Trouble is its a pain to get the wing off. You have to remove the bumper first, and there are plenty screws and several push in fastners on the wheel surrounds. It can be done, but just takes a lot of time. Is the dent that bad ?. Could it not be 'clagged' and sprayed?. Provided its not structural, then a quick job with Isopon's finest would be a lot easier than sourcing another wing, posssibly having to take it off your self, taking off your wing, fitting the new one, then having it resprayed?.
