Title: negative battery connections

does anyone know what connects to the negative terminal of the battery?


i've recently replaced the head gasket on my omega 2.5 just about to re connect the battery and there is a wire which comes from the negative terminal and leads to the front of the engine, somewhere near the belt. i removed it whist taking the heads off but i have no idea what it re connects too, can anyone look on theirs!!

I suspect its simply engine earth, so just bolts on block somewhere?
