get GM discs and pads, they are around £68 on trade club. Fitted them to mine around a year ago, also flushed the brake fluid. Big difference in stopping power.

Get the discs from you local stealer, on Trade club if you can, ask local guy to fit. (or do it yourself, check out the maintance section for a guide)

Its well work the extra for GM  :y

Agreed :)

Buy cheap, buy twice

Genuine ones not too bad, esp on trade card.
When you pick the kit box up, the weight tells you where your money has gone!

Drop a PM to Taxi Driver, his 2.2 CD is also used as a taxi... he fitted GM discs to his come time ago...

They are very hard waring, and should give you good service....

Anyone try the Mintex brake box kits?

A pair of front discs with pads = £45-ish

My 'cheap' discs on my Senator (similar size to the Omega's) lasted about 3000 or 4000 miles before they ran out of true.

Was that the 8v 3.0? The 24v has the same size discs and pads as Omega's...

Might have to go easy on the breaks on my 6,000 trip  ::)

The Vx discs that came with the car from the factory were replaced at 20k
Second set of original Vx discs now replaced at 50k with again original Vx discs
Seem to do the job well, and not too expensive either...  :y

Yes! But I added another 16v in the glove box!!  ;D

I knew they were something like each other but I couldn't be 4r$ed looking up the sizes of each! ::)

I tried pattern discs/pads on the MV6. They are utter rubbish.  Not just for warping, but no stopping power either.

Stick to Vx
