Title: v6 cuts out

i.ve just got a 3lt v6 omega great car but she cuts out just b4 the fan cuts in and then takes about 30 mins to start again she turns over in that time but wont start theres no fault stored any help with this is welcome apart from this what a car the omega is

Does sound a little like crank sensor, though that would through a 19 or 31 code...  :-/

You say it cuts out just before the fan cuts in?
What temperature is the engine showing on the gauge?

Also what code are you getting, just a code 12?

I am also thinking crank sensor is at fault but not discounting a fuel issue...

Oh and where in the UK are you?

down in devon were r u and the temp is showing about 97c

I think LB asked the question in case anyone was local and could take a look.

There are a few "hot spot" areas in the UK for club members - like Nottingham.

Intermittent cutting out then running just fine, or running fine but just not starting for no reason is often the crank sensor (£50 and 30mins labour).
