There are bulbs for tail light both on the inside rear wings AND in the boot lid - check the ones in the boot lid as well.

If all bulbs are working, try changing them - the circuit that tests the bulbs can be sensitive if one of the bulbs becomes older and its resistance change.

More importantly...use genuine bulbs and not cheap ones (although they are pretty cheap from the dealer anyway!)

No tail lights in boot lid MJ, just fogs and reverse ;) - but the are 4 tail bulbs.

Don't forget to check number plate lights, and front sidelights...

I believe that the number plate bulb is a spur off the lighting cct and is not in the loop for the bulb fail indicator..
