Title: Removing the glovebox top LH screw ?
Post by: abaird1234 on 20 April 2007, 20:39:16
Hello,

I'm trying to remove and change my glovebox on a facelift Omega saloon. I have found and removed all the screws holding the glovebox in except for the top left hand one by the passenger airvent.

How on earth do I get to this screw so that I can undo it ?

If anyone has advice on this, I would really appreciate it !

Best regards

Andy :-/

No idea, to be fair, but guessing that perhaps the air vent would need removing, to allow you to see a screwhead, perhaps?

A pure guess, but no doubt someone clever and correct will be along shortly....   :y

And congrats on your first post.  Welcome to the forum!

You need to remove airvent and side panel of dash, the one with the airbag sticker on it to access that screw ;)

So you have removed the three screws access from inside the glove box which secure the airbag to the top edge..

This then allows you to hinge the airbag upwards allowing access to two securing screws.....

remove the two screws at the bottom of the glove box (visable with glove box open again)

You then need to pop the dash end trim panel off.

Now remove the passnegr sie air vent by removing the screws which you cna now see having removed the trim panel...

With this out you should be able to see the final screws which need removing.
