hopefully someone can help???
today the aircon was regassed,fine no problem and it seemingly works aswell!!
but unfortunately the aircon fans do not come on at all,hence a very hot(to touch) pipe,now i have put a wire straight from the batt to the switch(2 pin) on the fans and still nothing,it just seem to pull the relay in thats all,so does anyone have any idea on what i can do to remedy this non working fan business,wiring diagram what fuses etc please???

The wiring to the fans is complex because they run at 2 speeds with the motors either in series or parallel. I think there is also a ballast resistor below the battery that is used to control their speed.
In addition, they are only activated when the air conditioning is running. I think slow speed is always active if the compressor is running and they run at high speed above a certain pressure at the triple switch. Do the fans ever come on at high speed or are they totally dead?
I would check for blown fuses in the engine compartment fuse box and in the box above the driver's feet to start with. I would then try disconnecting each fan motor in turn and connecting 12 volts to them to verify that the motors are good. As they run in series in slow speed, one bad motor may cut the power to the other one.
The resistor under the battery would probably be my next port of call.

no the two fans at the front of the engine directly behind the grill, i think there both totally dead so which fuses do i need to check,anyone got a fuse list please???

do the aircon fans have a seperate fuse/relay,all i can hear when connecting 12v to the switch is the relay clicking on and thats all,any ideas?

There are some posts in Maintenence Guides section which show the layout of the engine relay box, and the fuses in there. IIRC, there is also a fuse (something like Fuse 1) in the fusebox under steering wheel...
