Hi folks
I have found this Omega for sale which suits my budget well and more or less fits the bill (ok no leather, but it is manual which I would prefer).
Any comments?

You need to check:
- Service History
- When was the Cambelt changed, if they did the rollers and tensioner at the same time, did they do the waterpump
- Hows the exhaust
- Oil Leaks
- Is that mileage correct
- The rust situation
- Interior condition, all the toys working? Airon working?
Personally I think for £1500 you could do a lot better, I wouldn't be looking to pay them much more than a grand for that in all honesty, even though I bought a silver one thats the same spec with 30k more miles for £1300. If I'd known then what I know now things would've been different...

I agree, I got my Elite for around that, 2 years newer 73k & all the toys.
I could have done better but just couldn't resist!

Half leather interior? Front or back? :D

As said above, there are loads out there its just a question of waiting for the right one. Cambelt and tensioners is an important/bargaining point.

If you think its up to scratch with no big bills looming
- cambelt
- exhaust
- tyres
(that's about 800 quid in total )
full MOT (usefully you can now check the advisory comments on line) and service history
if these are all good and the general condition of the car is good, it counts more than the odd hundred quid on the purchase price.
you could always make an offer nearer to 1k . He won't take it , but be polite and leave it with him.

hhhmmmm seems a little on the expensive side! I would have steered clear if i was still looking.
There are so many bargains to be had when buying Omegas becuase the V6's seems to scare 1/2 the car buying market off!
I spent quite a bit of time dreaming about my upgrade to a V6 and i saw so many over priced motors on ebay and in the papers. But if you keep your eyes peeled you're sure to find a good deal!
I would have thought this car would be worth nearer 1K.
