Title: Gearbox selector
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 30 April 2007, 21:11:48
When I bolted on my known good selector switch, I didn't do anything about "lining it up"

I didn't realise until after the event that there was such a procedure, I  just bolted it on and plugged it in!

a) Would this be causing the limp mode? I don't have any other wheels, and I'm getting really fed up with this car :(

b) What's the procedure?

Interesting,

When I put it in the "2" position, it doens't drop into 2..or sometimes does after a v prolonged time.. it's not obeying....

I'll have a stab at this, but if it fails... can you still check your diary mate?

I'm tearing my hair out, trying to pull away at rush hour in 3rd gear ;D
