hi people,
i have yet another problem. the ordometre has stopped turning.so i am not clocking up any miles-not such a bad thing but i need to know my daily mileage!the trip odometre also has stopped turning.
anyone know where the connections are,as there are no cables coming from the back of the dash clocks,so asuming its a electrical sensor somewhere??
thanks in advance

I have had this in the past but managed to un jam it using the push in stalk
Pushed it in then out and it seemed to free itself you may have to do this a few times

It happened to me when the car was new, Vx replaced the whole instrument panel under warranty... not sure if this info helps though. :(

On post 98 cars, the bits cannot be changed individually, and a complete dash swap is required.

Use the trip computer, or is that not working either?

thanks for the responces people, does anyone know where the pick up sensor is, or if there is a fuse that could have blown??

It is not a sensor issue (that would kill abs, tc, computer, etc).
If the speedo works, but the odometer doesn't, its an issue local to the instrument panel.
Has it been like it since you got it, or has it happened since? If the former, check for cut tracks on instrument panel...

I had my dash in pieces the other day (temp gauge stopped working) ... that's from a 52-reg ... it can be taken apart but you need to be careful to make sure you don't tear the circuitry as it's the flexible type ...
